Mollusks with shells (snails and common garden snails) or without shells (slugs) that feed on plants. They have a rasping tongue that creates the characteristic holes. They feed on leaves and shoots, causing large holes, destruction of young seedlings, sticky trails on crops, and small blackish droppings on the leaves.
