The magnesium takes also part in the formation of pigments like carotene and xanthophylls of flowers. Magnesium deficiencies show up in the plants with a yellowing among the nervations of older leaves, then such tissues necrotize and the leaves fall early, the flowers look small and not very coloured. The species most susceptible to magnesium deficiency are vegetables like pepper, tomato, aubergine and cucumber, but also fruitbearing plants like plum, orange, apple, olive, vine. Also French bean, gardenia, chrysanthemum, daisy, poinsettia, potato, onion, melon, turnip and radish can suffer from magnesium deficiency.
each packaging has a measuring cup. Each notch of the cup is equivalent to 10 ml. Foliar treatments: dilute 20 ml in 10 litres water and atomize the solution on the plants with a sprayer or a pump. Root treatments: dilute 10 ml in 10 litres water and spread the solution on the soil with a watering can (10 ml for 2-3 m2). Curative action: carry out 2-3 treatments in spring, every 8-12 days when the first symptoms arise. Preventive action: start treatments at the beginning of the growing season, every 10-15 days.
